Obituary of Marie Shirley Samson

SAMSON, Marie Shirley, 77- Louisdale It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our sister Shirley Marie Samson, which occurred at home on January 13, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Lorenzo and Saraphine (Jeffrey) Samson. Shirley loved nature, birds and reading. She especially loved going fishing. She could fish for hours and even if she didn't catch anything she saw such beauty in the sea gulls, sea lions and even the crows. She had many professions in life but nursing was her love. She worked in Toronto as a CNA for more than 25 years and then decided to come back to Cape Breton. She is survived by her sisters Loretta Joyce, Margaret (Don) Cornell, both of Louisdale, Dorothy (Tom) Hearn, Dartmouth, Theresa Busch, Alton, ON; sister in law Stella; many nieces and nephews. Her brother Leonard; sister Dorothy Elizabeth; brother in law Robert Joyce and Hans Busch predeceased Shirley. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral mass by request. A family burial will be held at a later date. She will be sadly missed and never forgotten.
