Obituary of Eugene Joseph Babin

Babin, Eugene Joseph, 81 - Arichat, formerly of West Arichat passed away on February 13, 2017 at his residence in St. Anne Center in Arichat. Born in West Arichat, he was the son of the late Alexander and Bertha (Theriault) Babin. Eugene was a former employee and Caretaker of the Richmond County Land Fill site in West Arichat for many years up until his retirement. He will be sadly missed by his niece and godchild Edna LeJeune, who took such good care of Eugene for 35 years along with his grandniece Stephanie LeJeune both of West Arichat. He will also be missed by his sisters, Margaret Dorey, Nancy Starkey, both of Arichat and Ann Laverdiere, Ontario. He was predeceased by his brother, Cyril and his sister Jeanette. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 24th in Our Lady of Assumption Church in Arichat at 11 am with Rev. Doug MacDonald officiating. Burial to take place in the Acadiaville Columbarium in West Arichat. Memorial donations can be made to St. Anne Center in Arichat. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C.
