MARCHAND, Mary Irene, 96, Arichat/Louisdale
It is with deep sadness that we have to announce the passing of our dearly loved, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and true friend Mary Irene Marchand, that occurred at her residence in St. Anne Centre in Arichat on June 21, 2017. Born Sept. 26, 1920 in Louisdale, she was the daughter of the late James and Artemese (Landry) Samson. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Claire Jeffrey, (David); sons, James, (Brenda), Lorne, Valdore, (Janasta) all of Louisdale; 17 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren; sister, Dora Linden, Louisdale. Mary will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Alphonse; son, Vernon; daughter, Eleanor; sisters, Rita and Edna. Visitation will take place in the Glenn Sampson Room in Louisdale on Thursday, June 29th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Farewell will be celebrated on Friday, June 30th in St. Louis Catholic Church, Louisdale at 11am with Rev. J. F MacKenzie officiating. Burial to follow in St Louis Parish Cemetery, Louisdale. Memorial donations can be made to St. Anne Centre in Arichat or to St. Louis Renovation Fund, Louisdale. A reception will be held following the committal in St. Louis Parish Hall in Louisdale. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat.
