Obituary of Barbara Anne Hynes

It is with sadness, that we announce the passing of Barbara Anne Hynes of Cape La Ronde that occurred at the Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston after a courageous battle with COPD on July 11, 2018. Born in Arichat on January 19, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Jeannette (Russell) Mauger.  She will be sadly missed by her children, daughter, Jennie Mauger (Jamie Felsch), Manitoba; sons, Jason Hynes, Dartmouth, Ian Hynes (Michelle Pottie), Grande Prairie, Alberta; granddaughters, Jocelyn and Melita Pottie; great-grandson Joey Hynes all of St. Peter’s;

brothers, Kevin (Helen), St. Catherines, ON., Frank, (Sally), Cape La Ronde, Roger (Claire Bonin), D’Escousse, Ralph, Cape La Ronde; sisters, Anna Davies (Lyall), Cape La Ronde, Ruth Mondesir (Danes), Mississauga, ON., Vivian Mauger (Earl Johnston), Poirierville. Cremation has taken place. A reception will be held at the Rocky Bay Irish Club in Rocky Bay on Saturday July 21, 2018 from 2pm-6pm. Burial to take place at a later date at St. John’s Anglican Cemetery in Arichat. Memorial donations can be made to the Lung Association (NS) or to the Nova Scotia Kidney Foundation.
