Samson, Mary Catheline, 84 – Little Anse
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister,and friend Mary Catheline Samson, of Little Anse, that occurred at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital in Antigonish on October 11, 2018 with her loving family by her side. Born November 7, 1933 in Petit de Grat, she was the daughter of the late Johnnie and Mary Elizabeth (Boudreau) Samson. Catheline was a devoted Catholic who loved her family above all else. She had a kind heart, and would help anyone in need. She loved playing cards and loved having get-together that always included delicious food. Left to mourn her passing is her daughter, Angela, Halifax; sons, Gerry (Karen), Halifax, Herman (Aline), Little Anse, Bradley (Shirley), Louisdale; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Abel, Alderney Point; sisters, Laura (Cletus), Delta, BC, Jacqueline (Cornelius), Louisdale, Viola, Petit de Grat. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her former husband, Leo; daughter Deborah Samson; son Albert; grandchildren Daniel, and Kenneth Pitcher; brother, Anthony and sisters, Blandine David, Delta Fraser. Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 16th, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat. Funeral. Mass will take place Wednesday October 17th in St. Joseph’s Church in Petit de Grat at 11:00 a.m. with Father Michel Exalant presiding. Burial to follow in the Star of the Sea Cemetery, Petit de Grat. A reception will be held at the Little Anse Social Action Centre in Little Anse following the committal. Memorial donations may be made to the Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society or to St. Ann Centre. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C. H.
