ROULETTE, Greta Mildred
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, Greta Mildred Roulette nee

Aberdeen Hospital, in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. Greta will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Greta was born in Salt Springs, New Brunswick, where she spent her youth, working the family dairy farm and
dedicating herself to the animals that she cared for. At 18, she started working to put herself through
highschool and eventually escape the farm. She came across an opportunity to travel to Alberta and
immediately did so. She joined the Canadian Armed Forces and began climbing the ranks of The Canadian
Air Force. She married Maurice Gregory Roulette Sr., in 1972 and began their family.

In 1981, she gave birth to twin girls, Jacqueline Marie and Jasmine Michelle.
She was given the opportunity, in 1984, to join the Canadian Aerospace Program but declined in order to raise
her family. Greta divorced in 1990 and continued her life in Barrie, Ontario.
It was in Barrie that she found her calling. Greta retired in 2012, from the Central North Correctional Centre, in
Penetanguishene, Ontario, from her most fulfilling nursing position to date. She will forever be remembered by
her friends and colleagues and even the inmates that she cared for.
