SAMPSON, Suzanne Mary Cathy (Sue), Toronto/Louisdale

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Suzanne Mary Cathy Sampson of Louisdale which occurred at the Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston on March 7, 2025. Born January 22, 1962, in Toronto, Ontario, Sue was the daughter of the late James and Lorraine (Levesque) Sampson and sister of the late Gail Chapple.

Sue is survived by her sister Sharron Sampson (Louisdale) and in Ontario: Nephews Jesse Dragojevic-Sampson (Pippa) and Jason Chapple (Antonella); Niece Mandy Chapple (Gary); Great Nephew Alex and Great Nieces Hannah, Cristina, Meaghan and Sophie; Brother-in-Laws John Chapple and John Dragojevic.

Sue was deeply proud of her role as “Aunt Sue” to all who knew her. Spending time with her loved ones brought her immense joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She will be remembered for the warmth, care, and affection she gave so freely to those she loved. One of the highlights of her life was becoming Sophie’s Godmother, a role that filled her heart with love and pride.

We were given the incredible gift of saying goodbye and knowing that Sue was able to choose how and when she would begin her journey to the other side. In the hospital, on her terms, she faced this final chapter with remarkable strength and certainty. With each passing moment, a huge weight seemed to lift from her shoulders, and she departed peacefully, surrounded by love.

We will love and miss you forever Aunt Sue!

Cremation has taken place. At Sue’s request, there will be no visitation or service.

A private family burial will take place at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
