Obituary of Mary Annette Horton

JEFFREY-HORTON Mary Annette, Louisdale It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Annette Horton of Louisdale which occurred at the Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston on March 12, 2025. Born December 17, 1945, in Louisdale, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Emma (Martell) Jeffrey. Annette was a very pleasant and happy person always wanting to please people. She worked in Ottawa as a cashier for many years and returned home to take care of her aging father. After his passing, she took care of her aging aunt. Annette was a devoted mother and loved life and people. She loved gardening and doing outside work and she loved animals, especially cats. Annette is survived by her son Christopher Horton, Louisdale; brothers Roy (Bernice) Jeffrey, Jerry (Patsy) Jeffrey both of Louisdale and sister-in-law Kaye Jeffrey of Evanston. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her partner Bernard Charbonneau, brother Howard, sisters Shirley, Jean and Barbara. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation per request. A celebration of life with take place on Saturday, March 22, 2025 in St. Louis Church, Louisdale at 11am with Rev. Duncan MacIsaac officiating. A private family burial will take place in St. Louis Parish Cemetery at a later date. A reception will be held at St. Louis Parish Hall in Louisdale following the service. A sincere thank you to the nurses and staff of St. Martha’s Regional Hospital and especially the nurses and staff of the Strait Richmond Hospital for the exceptional care given to Annette. Also thank you to VON home care workers who provided loving care to Annette at home. Memorial donations can be made to St Louis Parish Cemetery Fund. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C.H.
