Obituary of Annie Blanche Doyle

DOYLE, Annie Blanche - Arichat It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Blanche Doyle of Arichat on March 15, 2025. Born in Point Cross on Cape Breton Island on June 4th 1936, she was the daughter of the late Joseph David DD Aucoin and Isabelle (Cormier) Aucoin. She is predeceased by her husband Paul Charles Doyle and by her brothers Edgar Lionel Aucoin, Clarence Lynus Aucoin, Alfred Claude Aucoin. Blanche is survived by her sister: Sr. Patricia Aucoin Douglas in the order of Franciscans of Halifax (whose late husband was Charles Millet Douglas) Blanche is survived by her children and their families: Michael Doyle with Lisa Doyle and their children Jeffrey and Sarah. Carolyn Clackdoyle and her children Duncan and Gillian. Brian Doyle with Mary Doyle. Blanche was active in the church choir and was a chartered member for 49 years of Our Lady of Assumption CWL. She was a member of the Isle Madame Girl Guides, Arichat Boat Club, the local quilting club, and a member of the Isle Madame Garden Club. Blanche loved music and playing the spoons. She loved the solitude of wild blueberry picking with her dog. She loved the energy of young people and was a treasure to her grandchildren. She cross-country skied with her sister-in-law Sr. Monica Doyle. Blanche worked in the cafeteria at Isle Madame District High School for over 20 years. Cremation has taken place. We welcome the community to attend the Funeral Mass to Celebrate the life of Blanche held in Our Lady of Assumption Church, in Arichat at 11 am on April 26, 2025 with Rev. Duaine Devereaux officiating. Burial will follow after the service at the adjacent cemetery. A reception will be held at the OLA parish hall following the burial.
