At age of 16, Paulie started his career on the draggers which included, The Anne C Spencer, The Jean Fletcher, The Cardigan Lady and The Rose J Gordon. Paulie also was tallier and union representative for the CAW. After the collapse of the fisheries, he worked some construction and retired at Clearwater Seafoods.
Those who knew Paulie knew of his quick wit, jokes and his 5 scoops of potatoes that filled everyone’s plates on Sunday. His favorite past time was spending time with Sadie and making sure that at 11pm they went to bed together. In the summer months, his hobby took him trout fishing at Le Lac a Xavier. He loved not only feeding his family, but also looked after the family pets. Everyday he would make his way to bring Champ his daily soup bone!
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Isle Madame Fire Department.
Cremation has taken place.
No service by request and celebration of life will be at a later date.
~~Another “Alderney Point” Legend gone too soon…
Always a smile and a laugh when you saw him - and the best jokes.
A heart of gold, and a sense of humour like no other !!~~
