Obituary of Mary Rita Boudreau

BOUDREAU, Mary Rita-87 We regret to announce the passing of Mary Rita Boudreau (nee Landry) formerly of Alderney Point (La Pointe) which occurred at her residence in Ingersoll, Ontario on April 20, 2025 with her partner of 51 years Delyn LaFrance by her side. Thank you Delyn for taking such good care of our mom. Born May 31st, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Emile Landry and Mary Eva (Minnie) nee Boudreau of Alderney Point and the last surviving member of the family. She is survived by her children Doreen (Maurice) and Allan (Roberta); 4 grandchildren, Shenice, Matthew, Damien (Ambrah) and Jonquil (Joey); 6 great grandchildren, Cruz, Kylie, Réal, Rory, Zaara and Anita. Rita was predeceased by her sisters Delima, Kathleen; brothers Cornelius, Rudolph (Midget); the father of her children Sanford and a great grandson Jerome Emile Fougère. Mom worked at Booth's Fisheries from a young age until she moved to Ontario in 1974. There she worked in housekeeping dept and local hospital until her health declined. There will be no visitation or funeral mass per request. Burial will take place in Star of the Sea Cemetery in Petit de Grat on May 27th, at 10am. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home Ltd., Arichat.
