Obituary of David William MacDonald

MACDONALD, David William -L’Ardoise It is with sadness that we announce the passing of David William MacDonald which occurred at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital in Sydney on June 20, 2025. Born in Murrayville, B.C., he was the son of the late William Alexander MacDonald and Ruth Irene MacDonald, both from British Columbia David was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He attended the RCIA and became Catholic in 2011. He’s an active member of the community of the Missionary Families of Christ. David is known by his friends to be a jolly person, generous, kind and very loving and supportive to his wife and family. He had a mind rich with knowledge stories and lived experiences. He will surely be missed. David is survived by his wife Flordeliza MacDonald, L’Ardoise; step daughter Maria (Arman) Danganan, Ontario; step son Czar (Florence) Lorenzo, Philippines; step granddaughters Celine and Alyza Danganan, both of Ontario. Visitation will take place on July 2nd, at L’Ardoise Holy Guardian Angels Visitation Parlour, L’Ardoise from 2-4 & 6-8pm. Funeral mass will take place on July 3rd at Holy Guardian Angels Parish, L’Ardoise at 11am with Rev. Antolin Asor officiating. Burial to follow in Holy Guardian Angel’s Parish Cemetery. A reception to follow at the L’Ardoise Community Centre, in L’Ardoise. Memorial donations can be made to the the family. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C.H.
