To Lena’s family:
On my weekly visits to the Villa, I would speak to Lena and we would have great conversation. I missed seeing her. Today, I asked about her only to find out of her passing.
She would have been very proud of the obituary you wrote. Absolutely fitting and beautiful!

Family’s & her sister LORETTA on her passing. She will be missed fondly by family & friends. To know her was to love her, growing up we used to go visit them after mass every Sunday. She was always kind to us & her cakes were delicious! Her laugh/smile was contagious & a very smart lady she was. Sending love & prayers to the family at this difficult time!

Q: What did Mary Lena like to do in their free time?
A: Matante Lena’s hobby of the Family Tree was infectious, Mary Helen and I started our own Family Tree because of her. Her knowledge of information was beyond anyone’s imagination. I remember vividly the evening calls, Gerrard I frigged up something on my computer can you come over or I need to back up my Family Tree. We would sit and talk for hours, she would talk about families and their relationship to our families. I would tell her, most times around 11:00 pm I need to get home because I am working tomorrow and she would say just a few more minutes. Mary Helen and I were so fortunate to visit on her last few days. I will miss you dearly Matante Lena.

I spent many days and times with Lena and the family.
I especially remember getting invited with Dad (Phonso) for her homemade soup. Yummy!!
