RANSON, Marie Delores, 84 of D’Escousse
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marie Delores Ranson of D’Escousse that passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025 at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital. Born in Poulamon, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marcellina (Fougere) Pottie.
Delores met the love of her life James when she was 15 at Poulamon wharf where they continued life together and spent the next 67 wonderful years as husband and wife, where they had 4 beautiful children.
In her younger years, Delores enjoyed going to bingo or having a get together with the girls to have a mean game of poker. She also liked to relax in the evenings and watch wheel of fortune or jeopardy with James.
Family was everything to Delores where she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sharing meals and having gatherings with them all, especially for special occasions.
Anyone who knew Delores, knows she would always put others before herself. She was a kind soul with a heart of gold, and a smile that would light up a room. Her strength and determination throughout life during her illness was evident. Delores will remain in our hearts for those who knew and loved her, because to know her was to love her. She will be remembered for her kindness, love and countless memories she created with her family.
