HART, Danielle Michelle, 57 of Louisdale
Danielle Hart, a beloved daughter, devoted wife, nurturing mother, cherished sister and loyal friend, passed away suddenly at the young age of 57 on September 2, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, patience and kindness. She touched the lives of so many with her unassuming ways and unwavering support, embodying the true essence of family and friendship.
Danielle was born in Sydney on May 31, 1968, the daughter of the late David and Elaine (Dwyer) Samson. In 1994, Danielle married Kevin, the love of her life. They settled in Louisdale, living with Nannie and Papar for a short time before they moved into their own home. During their time at Nannie’s, she honed her skills as an excellent downhome cook and baker. We always knew that every meal she prepared would be delicious, as it always had the special ingredient of love.
Danielle graduated Isle Madame District High in 1986 and went on to pursue Early Childhood Education at the Nova Scotia Teacher’s College. This was the beginning of her lifelong love and passion of nourishing the lives of every child she encountered, most especially, the children of her siblings, and, in later years, their children. In between the years of loving care with her nieces and nephews, Danielle and Kevin were given the gift of their own daughter, Mary. The joy in their household was immeasurable. They took on their role as parents very seriously, appreciating and welcoming the support of family and friends in their journey of parenthood.
Family and children were the core of her existence. All you had to do was look around the walls of her home to see the multitude of photos of the people who were most important to her. Committed to her family above all else, she poured her heart into caring for her husband, raising her daughter, and creating a warm home. Looking after her husband, her daughter and her home were her priority in life. Living so close to her oldest nieces and their children, Everett and Cecil, held a special place in her heart. She cared for both boys from when they were infants and loved every minute of it.
A caregiver at heart, our beloved sister devoted herself to supporting our family in times of need. With compassion and quiet strength, she lovingly cared for our parents and brother-in-law during their illnesses – preparing meals, keeping their homes clean, and offering help in any way she could.
Danielle’s life interests were well known amongst those who loved her and knew her best: Anne of Green Gables, raspberry cordial, white bunnies, Christmas, Three’s Company, anything pink, It’s a Small World, Tommy Hilfiger, Cuisine Pizza, The Sound of Music, camping, turkey divan, babies, talking on the phone, Flintstones, apple crumble, pizza quiche, record players, Full House, cherry chip cake, Disney, angels, pink fudge, Bop with You Baby, The Locomotion, Kraft Dinner and the list goes on.
Danielle met life’s challenges with extraordinary patience, determination and steadfast positivity. Her gentle spirit, resilience and grace will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her, as we celebrate a life filled with compassion, generosity and joy.
Danielle is survived by her loving husband Kevin Hart, Louisdale; daughter Mary Hart, Louisdale; siblings Paula Landry, Louisdale; Nadine Carmichael (Ian), Halifax; Jason Samson (Jennifer), Upper Tantallon; nieces and nephews Meaghan (Jarrett), Emily (Colton), Jacey, Brett, Sophie, Carter; great nephews Everett and Cecil; special Godparents Andrew (Carol) Samson, Louisdale; as well as many cherished aunts, uncles and cousins. She is also survived her by brothers-in-law Derrick Hart (Paula), Janvrin’s Island; Gerald Hart, London, ON; sister-in-law Brenda Feltmate (Burt), Canso.
She was predeceased by her brother-in-law Cecil Landry; father and mother-in-law Gerald and Jean Hart.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
