Obituary of Sandy Charlene Dewolf-Knight
Please share a memory of Sandy Charlene to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Sandy Charlene DeWolf-Knight 51, Arichat.
It breaks our hearts to share that Sandy passed away much too soon, though peacefully, at home on Saturday, January 3rd.
Sandy was a born nurse- both as a career and as an identity. She wanted to help others. A common refrain amongst friends and family was, “I’ll ask Sandy.” Some of the many things we loved about Sandy were that she was always there if you needed advice, whether medical or life, and that she would do anything for family and friends. Sandy treated people individually; she met people where they were. A big fan of tough love, Sandy firmly believed tongues were never meant to be kept in pockets.
Sandy loved to be outside and had quite a green thumb. An avid camper and frequent cruiser, Sandy enjoyed a good adventure. We’re sure a fun Sandy story popped into your head while reading this. We hope you’ll raise a glass and a ruckus to her at future Harbourfests, Shedfests, and the ATV trails of Isle Madame and Pictou County .
She is survived by the love of her life Paul and her beloved daughter Ally. Before her death, Sandy was recently surprised and thrilled to welcome Paul’s son Christian (Emma) into her life, along with her grandchildren Hunter, Josie and Parker. Also surviving Sandy are her brother Peter (Amy), in-laws Fran and Bryan Knight, brother-in-law Chris (Michelle), nieces Nora and Priya and nephew Braydon. Sandy had too many close and special friends to name- you know who you are. She had many aunts, uncles and cousins she shared a strong bond with who will miss her deeply. She also very much loved her fur babies Gizmo, Gus and Tut.
She was predeceased by absolutely wonderful parents, Bob and Marie, DeWolf.
She’ll be profoundly missed and forever lovingly remembered.
There will be no visitation, but a celebration of life will be held at a future day, Most likely starting in the day and stretching into night, as would be fitting. Memorial donations in Sandy's memory can be made to St. Anne's Centre in Arichat.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home Ltd. in Arichat.
