Obituary of Kathleen Marie Peters

PETERS, Kathleen Marie It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen Marie Peters of Lower L’Ardoise on February 10, 2026 at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital in Antigonish. Born in Piccadilly Head, NFLD on July 1, 1958, she was the daughter of the late John Raymond and Sarah May (Benoit) Collier. Kathleen is survived by her husband, Ted Lionel Peters, Lower L’Ardoise; sons, Ray (Julie) and Michael. She was a devoted wife of 50 years. She was a proud mother who was always there to give unconditional love as she helped raise her grandchildren, Samantha, Dustin, Caitlyn, Alexi, Joseph, Tracey, Kaylee, Ted, and Miranda Peters; and her great grandchildren Leah, Aiden, Aleigha, Isaac, Nylah, and Rowan. She is also survived by several sisters and brothers. Kathleen’s caring soul was the foundation of the family. She nurtured us with kindness and always brought us together. Her patience, strength and unwavering support instilled in us the values that will carry on her legacy. Cremation has taken place. A mass of Christian burial will take place on March 6th at Holy Guardian Angels Parish, in L'Ardoise at 11am with Rev. John Yake officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
