Heaven gained a true angel today, my nanny was the most loving, selfless, nurturing and kindest person I’ve ever known. She had the biggest heart, especially for her family, friends and animals. My favourite childhood memories are the summers and weekends that I spent at her home.. having campouts in the living room, walking the dogs to the duck pond, making mud pies, playing under the willow trees, endless beach days, and picking her bouquets from the wild lupins. She holds such a big place in my heart, she was truly the backbone of our whole family. She had a gift for making everyone around her feel loved and special. There’s nothing she loved more than having all of her loved ones together in the same room. I know that it would’ve meant a lot to her to have us all together today. I’ll miss our conversations so much, no body was a better listener than her.. She cared so deeply about the people she loved.
No amount of time would have ever been enough. I will love and think of you always, Nanny.
