DOYLE, Shane William, 47 of Arichat It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of a loving son, brother, nephew and cousin. Shane William Doyle of Arichat, formerly of Rocky Bay who passed away on March 30, 2026. Born in Antigonish, he was the son of Mildred (Hearn) Doyle and the late Leonard Doyle. Shane was an avid collector of Tim Hortons hockey cards and a true Toronto Maple Leafs fan. He enjoyed playing games of darts and a card game every now and then, going for coffee, and watching baseball games. Shane’s favourite hobby was constructing Lego sets and he was a loyal shopper on Temu. Shane is survived by his loving mother Mildred Ann (Hearn) Doyle and his sister Marsha Doyle (Shaun Martell); who he loved very much. Shane was predeceased by his father Leonard Ambrose Doyle; maternal grandparents John and Valerie Hearn; paternal grandparents Louis and Mildred (Hendsbee) Doyle; uncle Austin Monroe; Uncle Kenny and Aunt/Godmother Linda Burgess; cousin Christopher Doyle. Shane’s mother and sister would like to thank Dr. Deroche, Dr. Hewlett, the dialysis staff, the nurses and the palliative care staff at the Strait Richmond Hospital, also his buddy Jennifer Forgeron and his Uncle Jackie for their care and support. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral mass per request. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society or to the Kidney Foundation of Nova Scotia. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat.
