Obituary of Mary Antoinette Samson

Samson, Mary Antoinette, 61, of Samson's Cove, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 12, 2011, at St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Arichat, she was the daughter of the late Joseph William and Mary Zenna (Langlois) Samson. Antoinette was well noted for her fabulous pizza from the Pizza Pad in Petit De Grat. She was a founding and former member of the Little Anse Social Action Centre, Little Anse. She is survived by her loving and caring husband of 41 years, Joseph Louis Samson who took care of Antoinette for the past 12 years during her courageous fight with kidney failure; sons, Keith (Amanda), Samson's Cove, Jaret (Kim), Monastry, Shawn (Catherine), Herring Cove; 7 grandchildren; brothers, Vernon (Magdalen), Petit De Grat, Cletus (Laura), Vancouver, Elmer (Doreen), Little Anse; sisters, Tillie Landry, Petit De Grat, Joan Landry (Rudolph), Little Anse, Susan Samson (Venard), D'Escousse. She was predeceased by sisters, Annette Boudreau, Rosaline Samson, Doris Samson; brother Bobby and siblings in infancy. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 16, 2011 from 11:00 noon - 1:30 p.m. in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat. Funeral mass will take place Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Petit De Grat with Rev. Will MacPherson officiating, burial to take place in the Star of the Sea cemetery, Petit De Grat. A reception will follow the committal in the St. Joseph's parish hall, Petit De Grat.
