Obituary of Clara Mary McDonald

McDonald Clara M., 101 Arichat formerly of Pondville passed away peacefully on July 27 at St. Anne Community & Nursing Care Centre, Arichat with her loving family by her side. Born in Pondville, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Rose (Fougere) Martell. Clara loved cooking, gardening. Her family meant the world to her and were her pride and joy. She is survived by her daughters, Verene (Frank) Bonin, Arichat, Rosaline (Jeff), Boudreau, Alderney Point; grandchildren, Harvey, Bonnie, Billy, Rickey, Liza, René and Norris; great grandchildren, Jake, Sara, Ryan, Isaac, Olivia, Hayden, Gaby, Will, Jordan, Andrew, Abbie, Nayka, Maëlle and Logan.; brother, Francis Martell. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Francis; brothers, Jimmy, Albert, Clarence, Venard, Leo, Amadee and René in infancy. Visitation will be held in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home, 633 Veteran's Memorial Drive, Arichat on Sunday, July 29th from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m and on Monday morning from 9 - 10:30. A celebration of Clara's life will be held in St. Hyacinth Church in D'Escousse on Monday, July 30th at 11 am. with Rev. Angus MacDougall officiating. Burial will follow in St. Hyacinth Parish Cemetery, D'Escousse. Memorial donations may be made to St. Hyacinth Cemetery Fund or to St. Anne Community & Nursing Care Centre in Arichat.
