The last time we visited with Aunt Edna, she was an in-patient at the QEII Hospital in Halifax. That afternoon we sat together at her bedside talking, laughing and reminiscing about old times in Samson's Cove. Aunt Edna had a great sense of humor, she looked at Dad (Paul) and asked him if he was still seeing and talking to Mere and Papa. He said to her, "Yes! I talked to them just last night." So, Aunt Edna looked my way and gave me a little wink of her eye and said to him laughing, "The next time you see them tell them I'll be seeing them soon!" Even though we can't be there, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers and know that Aunt Edna, who had such a strong faith in God, is with her loved ones at peace and laughing. Dear Lisa, Anna and Donnie, So sorry to hear of your mother's death. I will always remember her best as praying in church. She had such a faith, and was such a pleasant woman. Dear Brian, Donnie, Lisa, Anna and families. I was heartbroken to hear of your mom's passing. Her undying love and unending faith in you is a shining example of a mom's true love. She saw the good each of you possesses and strived every day to increase that power through her prayers and deep faith in God. This faith and love will help you every day as you go through this very diificult time. Know that you are all in my prayers and dear to my heart. I didn't know Edna well but on the frequent times i was at her home, she always made me feel very welcome and at home. I know how very much you all loved and aprreciated her and how very much you all will miss her. All my love and sympathies are with you on this difficult time. She was an amazing woman and will be sadly missed by many.
