Obituary of Charles Leonard Fougere

FOUGERE, Charles L.; 87; we regret to announce Charlie's passing on August 14, 2012 at the Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Charlie was born on July 6, 1925 and was the son of the late William and Mae (LeBlanc) Fougere, Janvrin's Island, Isle Madame. He served in the Merchant Marines during the end of World War II. Charlie is survived by sisters Jean Muise, Yarmouth; Mary Thelma Manson (Bruce), Halifax; Edith Burton (Chuck), Arichat; Theresa Hill, Janvrin's Island and brothers Ernest, Mount Uniacke; Fred (Carol), Janvrin's Island and sister-in-law Ruth (widow of twin brother Herman), Halifax. He also left behind good friends, Cheryl and Sherman MacPhail, who took good care of him and gave him a happy home. He was predeceased by brothers, Herman and Eldred; sisters, Mabel and Edna in infancy, Evelyn LeBlanc, Margaret Knickle, and his parents William and Mae Fougere. Cremation has taken place under the direction of CH Boudreau Funeral Home, Arichat. There will be no visitation, a memorial service will be held on Friday morning August 17th at 9 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception parish in West Arichat with Rev.
