Obituary of Murdock Anthony Richard

Richard, Murdock Anthony 94, River Bourgeois, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2012 at the Strait Richmond Hospital, in Evanston. Born in River Bourgeois, he was the son of the late Isaih and Emily (Fougere) Richard. Murdock worked for National Sea in Halifax for over 30 years. He served in the Merchant Marines for 4 years during the 2nd World War. He is survived by his son, Gary, Burnaby, BC; stepson, Earl Fougere, U.S.; grandson, Gary Jr.; numerous nieces and nephews; He will also be sadly missed by his caregivers and good friends for the past 6 years, Peter and Emily LeBlanc, River Bourgeois. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Ellen (Fougere); brothers, Alexander, Sam, Johnny, Davy, Joseph and Isaac; sisters, Margaret Mombourquette and Sophie Richard; stepsister, Elizabeth Ann Pellerine. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or mass as per Murdock's request. Internment will take place in St. John the Baptist Church Cemetery, River Bourgeois at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to St. John the Baptist Cemetery Fund. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat.
