Obituary of Eugenie Bernadette Cordeau

It is with great sadness that we are announcing the death of our mother Eugenie Bernadette Cordeau that occurred on December 23, 2012 in the Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston at the age of 104 years and 15 days shy of 105. Born in Poirierville, she was the daughter of the late Louie and Elizar (Bonin) Ranson. She is survived by sons, Joseph (Cecily) Ranson, Rocky Bay, Alphonse Cordeau, Lower Sackville, Raymond, (Linda) Cordeau, Dartmouth, James Cordeau, Halifax, John A. Cordeau, Poirierville; daughters, Anna, Cecilia Cordeau both of Port Hawkesbury, Margaret (John) Jones, Hammonds Plains, Mary (Carl) Peters, both of Lower Sackville, Magdalene (Cyprian) Landry, Petit De Grat; 28 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren,; 11 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John Leo Cordeau, 1988; son's Arthur Cordeau, 1966, William Cordeau, 2012; sisters, Annie, Mary Louise, Clara, Mary B.; brothers, Gustave and Alexander. Visitation will be held in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat on Wednesday, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will take place Thursday morning at 11 am in St. Hyacinth Church, D'Escousse with Rev. Angus MacDougall officiating. Burial to follow in St. Hyacinth Parish Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to St. Hyacinth Cemetery Fund.
