Obituary of Joseph Dion Boudreau

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the sudden passing of Joseph Dion Boudreau, 45 of Little Anse that occurred in the VG Site, QE11 in Halifax surrounded by his loving family and friends on January 23, 2013. Dion was a fun loving guy who has lived life to the fullest. He graduated from I.M.D.H. in Arichat and was very athletic. He loved to play baseball, hockey and golfing. He had an enormous passion for his music and was a wonderful musician who played various instruments while entertaining his loving family and friends. He was a drummer and singer with the group/band "Silver Wings". He was a truck driver and a good lobster fisherman. He was a man with a big loving heart for his parents, family, cousins, friends and his "Greatest Love of all" was for his two sons. Dion was a member of the Dundee Golf course, former Vice President of the Social Action Centre of Little Anse, Isle Madame Royal Canadian Legion Branch 150 Isle Madame, Richmond County Fisheries Association. Dion was the son of Laura Boudreau, Little Anse, and the late Amedee Boudreau. He is survived by his two sons, Dalton Amedee, son with fiancée Michelle Gionet; Breton Dion, son of Dion and Bonnie Dorey. Dion was loved by family and many friends; his mother, Laura's family: late aunt, Madeline (Adolphe) Mury, late uncle, Gerard (Anne-Marie) Boudreau; and cousins, Evie, Michael (Wanda) and Becky (Neil); aunt and godmother, Clara Mae (Hart) Boudreau Stein and cousin Holly (Steve) LeJeune DeWolfe; uncle, Anthony (Bernadine) Boudreau and cousin, Rocky; aunt, Therésè (Wayne) cousins, Kyle (Cindy) and Ryan. Also by his father Amedee's family; uncle, Gerald (Margaret) Boudreau and cousins Evie, Michael (Wanda) and Becky (Neil); late uncle, Rudolph (Isabelle) Boudreau and cousins Donna and Yvette, Ontario; uncle and godfather, Aloysius( Diane) Boudreau and cousin's Glen (Jordan), Darren (John); aunt, Margaret McConnel and cousins, Delores, Norman, Rudolph (Sharron) and Lois Boudreau; aunt, Claire (Alfred) Marchand and cousins, Rodney (Nicole) and Natalie (Rodney); aunt, Delia (Vincent) Benoit and cousins Shawn (Leah Anne) Chad; aunt Betty (Buddy) Richard and cousins, Steve, Valerie, Elwood and David; aunt, Vivian (Eddie) Fougérè and cousins, Nadine, Wanda (Shane), Crystal (Michel), Clem and TC.Predeceased by his maternal grandparents Michael and Mary (Joshua) Boudreau and his paternal grandparents, David and Lily (Boudreau) Boudreau). Visitation will be held Sunday, January 27, 2013 from 2 until 9pm in C.H.Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat. Mass of Christian Farewell will be held Monday afternoon at 1:00pm at St. Joseph Church in Petit de Grat with Rev. Angus MacDougall officiating. Burial to follow in the Star of the Sea Cemetery in Petit de Grat. Memorial donation can be made to the QEII Health Centre Foundation, IWK Health Centre Foundation or a charity of your choice.
