I am a distant relative of Edith's thorugh my father Joseph Haley whose mother was Annie Bonin. Many, many years ago (in the 50's) my mom, dad and brother made their way to Cape Breton and visited the Bonin family. Ever since my mom and Edith kept in touch at Christmas time. Edith stopped writing a few years ago but my mother continued to send her cards. In the mid-nineties I was doing some work in Sydney and stopped by and introduced myself to Edith. We had a few visits after that until she no longer recognized me. She was a delightful lady and I will always cherish the stories she told me about her youth. Our condolences to her family.

Earl,Lloyd,Kenny,and Eddy Adorna and I are sorry to hear that your aun't Edith passed away, take comfort in knowing she lived a full life and she leaves behind many memories that will stay with you all forever. We will not be able to attend but our thoughts and prayers are with you.
