Obituary of David Joseph Dorey

DOREY, David Joseph - 50, of West Arichat, passed away April 10, 2013 at the Strait Richmond Hospital Evanston, after a lengthy battle with cancer with his loving family by his side. Born in Arichat, he was the son of the late Willie and Evelyn (Covin) Dorey. David was a fun loving type of guy. Always had a smile on his face, enjoyed driving his ATV, fishing, hunting, all in all he was an outdoor sports type of guy. He loved people and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them and yes of course playing a few jokes on them. He will be sadly missed by all who had the opportunity to have known David. He is survived by his wife, Ann Marie (Thibeau) Dorey; brothers, Ambrose, Arthur, Thelma (Betty), Raymond (Amanda) all of West Arichat and Joseph (Jean), Port Hawkesbury; sisters, Violet Bonin, Kathleen Dorey, Evangeline Dorey (Leonard), and Zita Boudreau, all of West Arichat. David is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his brother in laws, Leon Bonin and Thomas Boudreau. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2013 from 2 - 9pm in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 15, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church in West Arichat, with Rev. Angus MacDougall officiating. Burial will take place in the Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery, West Arichat. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the C.H.
