Obituary of Raymond Alfred Samson

Samson, Raymond - 83, Arichat, formerly of Petit de Grat, passed away peacefully at his residence in St Anne Community & Nursing Care Centre in Arichat on August 30, 2013. Born in Petit De Grat, he was the son of the late Walter James and Ida Mae (Boudreau) Samson. Raymond was a former employee of Richmond Fisheries. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Edith (Marchand); daughters, Joan, Halifax, Dora (Colin Chisholm), Lower Sackville, Connie (Laurie Conrad), Bedford; sons, Gary (Marcia), and Allan (Mary Lou) both of Bridgewater, Kenneth (Hattie), Arichat; grandchildren, Adèle, Zoé, Kalyn (James), Kyle (Leah), Jesse, Broady (Brett), Kendra and Cheryl; great grandsons, Aiden and Owen; sister, Idella Samson, St Catherine's, ON. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Clarisse Samson (twin), Kathleen Roberts; brothers, Alzear and George. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home, Arichat on Monday 2-4 & 7-9. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00am in St. Joseph's Church, Petit de Grat with Rev. Andrew Gillies officiating. Burial to take place in the Star of the Sea Cemetery in Petit de Grat. Memorial donations can be made to St Anne Community & Nursing Care Centre or to the charity of one's choice. Funeral is under the compassionate care of C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home, Arichat.
