Obituary of Mary Madonna Samson

Samson, Mary Madonna - 90, of Samson's Cove, passed away peacefully at the strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston on October 20, 2013 with her loving family by her side. Born in Alderney Point, she was a daughter of the late Simon Lamand and Bertha Mae (Samson) Landry. Méme was a beautiful lady. Kind, loving with a big heart! She had a special place for each and every one, especially all her grand kids and always loved to see them. She loved to make pies, knit socks, dish clothes and baby wicket. Madonna was a CWL member and was a former employee of Richmond Fisheries, Petit De Grat for many years. She loved to shop and go for drives. Madonna especially loved to cook for all the family. She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Claire Kehoe (George), Rocky Bay, Zita Thibeau (Anthony),Boudreauville, Celeste McNamara (Stephen) Samson's Cove; son Gary (Donna), Louisdale, son in law Johnnie Sampson, Louisdale; grandchildren, Mary Anne (Glen), Phyllis (Nick), Madonna (Eric), Betty (Gary), Harold (Tanya), Rose, Ritchie (Jen), Jerry (Jo-Anne), David (Lynn), Brenda (John), Florence (Darryl), Nathaniel, Natasha, Décota, Dekita, Daylan; great- grandchildren, Kelson , Cameron, Connor, Victoria, Josh, Nicole, Sean, Sydney, Kathleen, James, Marco, Sarah Belle, Rebecca, Adele, Liam, Cora, Gay, Jeremy, Brandon, Angél, Josée, Chelsey, Aaron, John, Zachary, Simon, Hailee, Meaghan, Isaac, Luke and Penny; brother, Simon, Louisdale; She was predeceased by her husband, Jean Baptiste; daughter, Julie-Anne; son, Larry Samson; grandson Gerard Samson; sisters, Christine, Elizabeth, Bernadette, Bertina, Lucy-May and Evangeline; brothers, Joseph, Raymond, Francois, Felix, Newman, Colin and Cyril. Visitation will be held in the C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat with visitation on Tuesday from 2 - 9pm. Mass of Christian Farewell will take place on Wednesday morning at 11 in St. Joseph's Church, Petit De Grat, officiated by Rev. Andrew Gillies burial to follow in the Star of the Sea Cemetery, Petit de Grat. Memorial donations can be made to St Anne Community and Nursing Care Centre, Arichat.
