Obituary of Mary Clara Delorey

Delorey, Mary Clara - 86, of Halifax formerly of West Arichat, passed away suddenly at her home in Halifax on November 5, 2013. Born in Petit de Grat, she was a daughter of the late Remi and May (Burns) Boudreau. Mary is the last surviving member of her family. She is survived by her daughters Joan (Roddie) McMullen, Rosemond, Leanne Delorey; sons Paul DesLauriers (Jennifer), Everett (Ann), Lloyd (Kim), Larry (Emily), Peter (Dawn), Dwaine (Susan) Delorey; 25 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Raymond Delorey; son Lloyd in infancy; brothers Remi, Francis, Melvin Boudreau; sister Mildred Forgeron; half sister Mathilda Cormier; grandson Christian Delorey in infancy. She was a homemaker who enjoyed doing for her family. Avid cribbage and bingo player. She loved to knit and make quilts. She enjoyed most her company and babies. There will be visitation taking place at Atlantic Funeral Home, Bayers Rd Halifax on November 7, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. Visitation will also take place at C.H.Boudreau Funeral Home, Arichat on November 8, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, West Arichat with Rev. Andrew Gilles officiating. Burial to follow. A reception following the internment in the Acadiaville Hall, West Arichat. Memorial donations can be made to the charity of choice.
