Obituary of Alice Dora Marchand

Marchand, Alice Dora, 94, of Louisdale, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2014, at her residence in Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home, Port Hawkesbury. Born in Sydney, she was a daughter of the late Walter Robert and Helene Marie (LeBlanc) Kiley. Alice was a lifetime member of St. Louis CWL for over 60 years. She is survived by her sons, Roger McCalmont, Louisdale; Walter McCalmont, Toronto, Ont.; sister, Annie Samson, Sydney; numerous nieces and nephews from coast to coast. She was predeceased by her first husband, James Alexander "Al" McCalmont (1913-1959) and her second husband, Leonard Joseph Marchand (1919-2003); sister, Mary Agnes Kiley; brother, William Austin Kiley. Visitation will be held on Friday evening in the Glenn Sampson Room in Louisdale, from 7-9p.m. Mass of Christian Farewell will be held in St. Louis Church in Louisdale on Saturday morning at 11a.m. with Rev. Angus MacDougall officiating. Cremation will follow. Interment will take place on August 24, 2014 at 11:00 am in St. Louis Parish Cemetery, Louisdale. Memorial donations can be made to St. Louis Parish Cemetery Fund. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C.H.Boudreau Funeral Home, Arichat.
