His family meant the world to him and He certainly lived up to what he believed in. I feel extremely privileged to have been a part of Sanford's life in this small community. We did not know Sanford well or for long, but whenever we saw him he was always friendly and had time for a chat. He was a very nice man with a great sense of humour. We were sorry to learn of his health problems and his passing. Our sincere sympathy to his family. He will be missed.

If I look back upon my own childhood memories, Sanford's face would definitely be among my flashbacks... Such a comical man at the corner store he'd say "Francis, j'ai faim. Coupe-moi une taille de baloney". Such a generous man, too. If someone didn't have enough money for a bag of chips, he'd reach into his pocket and find the change to pay for it. Sanford was always very proud of the kids from La Pointe and made a big deal out of your homerun at the ballgame, your new drivers' license, and your graduation from high school. He was a selfless man who has inspired many with his random acts of kindness. As you mourn his loss in the coming days, please take a moment to celebrate his wonderful,inspiring life. Sanford was a very nice man and he helped a lot of people. I don't ever think I ever saw him mad he always had a smile. He always looked for the Grandkids and the Great Grandkids. My condolences to the entire family Uncle Sanford was such a wonderful and hard working man Whenever I did run in to him he always had advice for me about safety in our trade He was such a caring and proud man The last time I was home I had the privelage of seeing him visiting mom and had a nice talk with him.
