Obituary of Mary Isabelle Landry

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Mary Isabelle Landry, 66 of Little Anse that occurred at her home on September 30, 2014 after a courageous battle with Cancer. Born in Arichat she was the daughter of the late Hyacinth and Clara (Samson) Boudreau. She was a former employee of the Dundee Resort in Dundee and St. Joseph's Credit Union in Petit De Grat and Duke of York Cranberry Farm. She was very active as a volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society and a strong supporter of the Annual Relay for Life. Isabelle was a breast cancer survivor for over 16 years. Isabelle loved going to bingo, card plays and thoroughly enjoyed the many games of Poker she played with her family. Isabelle was an inspiration to all who knew her. She had the kindest heart and an absolute love for her family. In more recent years, her two grandchildren brought her much joy and the bond she had with them was very special. She will live in all our memories and we will be richer for the privilege of knowing her. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Joseph Clement (Clem) Landry; son Cameron, (Lucille), Arichat; sisters, Delia White (George), Medford, Mass; Delima Scanlan (Elmer), Whiteside; Claire Doyle (Hubert), Lochside; brothers, Gordon (Idella), Petit De Grat, Herman (Norma), Arichat, David (Donna), Whiteside; grandchildren, Alissa and Joshua. She was also survived by many nieces, nephews and Godchildren Kevin Boudreau, Darrell Scanlan, Herman Samson, Alex Mackenzie Doyle, and Warren Samson. She was predeceased by her son, Lester; sister Evelyn Gotell; brother, Russell; sister-in-law Lucy (Keeping) and brother-in-law Joe Gotell. Visitation will be held Friday October 3, 2014 in C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat from 2 - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday morning at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Petit De Grat with Rev. Doug MacDonald officiating. Burial to follow in the Star of the Sea Cemetery, Petit De Grat. A reception will be held at the Little Anse Social Action Centre in Little Anse following the committal.
