Obituary of M. Claudia LeBlanc

LeBlanc (Samson), M. Claudia - passed away on Saturday, October 18th, 2014 at St. Anne's Nursing Home in Arichat at the age of 96. Born in Petites Anses, she was the daughter of the late Jacques and Clémence (Marchand) Samson. She was a long time employee of Booth's / Richmond Fisheries where she worked until her retirement. She is survived by sons, Gerard (Linda), Claude (Gloria) of Petit De Grat, Gabriel (Cathy) of Pondville, Christophe (Donna) of Martinique and daughter Françoise (Ben) of Petit De Grat, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as sister Rita (Charles) Landry, Arichat. She was predeceased by husband, Bertie, son, Marcel, daughter-in-law, Maxine, sisters Lorraine and Jeanne d'Arc, brothers Nazaire, Norman and Jean. Claudia was a member of La Paroisse St-Joseph, Petit De Grat, various groups and associations, CWL, FANE, AANE, Ladies Auxiliary Legion, New Horizons Club, etc. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Monday, October 20th at the C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat. Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Petit De Grat on Tuesday, October 21st at 11:00 AM with Fr. Doug MacDonald and Fr. Dan Doucet co-celebrating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Joseph's Cemetery Fund or St. Anne's Nursing Home.
