It was with great shock and sadness that I heard of Shane's passing. I only had the opportunity to meet him once, when my sister Iris passed away. I've read through the messages sent and have to say it resonates my feelings. He was a character, his presence filled a room and his voice could be heard above all. There was no problem to feel his love for life, family and friends and his generosity were second to none. My sincere condolences to his family at this very sad and difficult time. Sharon, Brian & Family, I was so sorry to hear the news of Shane's passing. The loss of a family member is always so hard for so many. While I did not get to know Shane as an adult, I have many memories of the wonderful little boy with the big smile and the twinkling eyes as I spent most of my childhood in and around your home. Shane T Boy wrestled for me at IMDH. He had two important qualities as a wrestler: He loved to fight & he was coachable. With a team of guys like that the sky would have been the limit! Shane also had the generosity of spirit that his father, T-Boy demonstrated. I will always have great memories of Shane, Joey, Vaughn, The Pykes, Chad, Steven & all those who left sweat & blood for me on the mats every day!

Sharon and family,no words can express our sadness. The boys grew up with our girls and spent many happy hours together. It is like losing one of our family. Our girls were devastated to hear the news. He was a character to say the least but a kind and giving person and was always the protector of the Hopkins Girls as he called them. He was born with a smile on his face that never went away and that booming voice could be heard for miles away.He would go out of his way to help anyone and if you were his friend you were his friend for life. I was shocked and saddened to hear of Shane's passing, too early. We knew each other during his Saskatchewan oil rig years, and I loved his strength and fight, his love of fun and his great sense of humour. He was a great protector to me during a very hard time in my life and I am forever grateful to him. I know he so loved his momma, Kristen and his brothers SO much and he was so proud to be a Sampson.
