Obituary of Irene Cecile Richard

Richard, Irene Cecile - 89, of Arichat, passed away on November 11, 2014 surrounded by her loving family at the Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston after a brief illness. Born in Pondville, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Elizabeth "Libby" (Fougere) Bonin. She is survived by her daughter, Yolande Petitpas (Neil Smith); son Ralph, both of Arichat; grandchildren, Louise, Simon, Daniel, Tammy, Craig, and Tara; great-grandchildren, Chantel, Marcel, Maria, Jackson, Ariana, Liam, Lexi, Brooklyn, Layla, Jade; brothers, Clarence (Florence), Whitney Pier, Alex, Pondville South, Bill (Marlene), Ontario; sisters, Beatrice (Raymond Peck), Quebec, Mary Babin, West Arichat. She was predeceased by her son, James; brothers, James, Alcide, Gustave, Delore; sister, Dorothy. Visitation will take place in C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home, in Arichat on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 - 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 11 am in Our Lady of Assumption Church in Arichat with Father Doug MacDonald officiating. Burial to follow in Our Lady of Assumption Parish Cemetery, Arichat. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Palliative Care Unit, Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. A special thank you to all the Palliative Care Nurses & Staff at the Strait Richmond Hospital, Dr. Laurie MacNeil and Dr. Scott MacNeil.
