Obituary of Margaret Blanche David

Please share a memory of Margaret to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
David, Margaret Blanche (Middleton); 80 of Port Hawkesbury is now reunited in Heaven with the love of her life, the late Ernest Elzear David after a courageous battle with cancer. It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Mother and Meme, Margaret "Blanche" (Middleton) David on February 17, 2015. Born in L'Ardoise, NS on September 15, 1934 she was the daughter of the late Annie Evangeline (Martell), and Joseph Vincent Middleton. She was also predeceased by her sister Elizabeth MacDonald of St. Peter's, NS. Left to mourn her loss are her children, Linda (Dan) Latimer of Port Hawkesbury and Ronnie (Bonnie) of Arichat, and her precious grandchildren, Cheryl and Dylan. She will be missed by her littlest angels, Roslyn, Miles and Evelyn, and remembered lovingly by Trevor Luscombe (Alberta). She will also forever be in the heart of her special friend and caregiver Sylvia Skinner. Born the oldest of six children, Blanche is also survived by her siblings, Nicholas, George (Elsie), Cornelius (Anita), all of L'Ardoise, and Cecile (Clarence) Sampson of Halifax, NS, and several nieces and nephews. Blanche may have been a grandmother to only two of her own, she will be fondly remembered as "Meme" to so many others as well. Blanche could turn any dingy shirt to gleaming white, even if it wasn't white to begin with. She could press dress pants with the palm of her hand, and almost wore the floor out with her rocking chair. She loved blaring her Newfie tunes on the stereo, and patiently waited for the obituaries on 'CIGO' every day. She never missed a spot while sweeping the floor, and you could eat off the top of her garbage cans. If cleanliness is close to godliness, she has an express ticket right up to Heaven. She faithfully attended mass at Our Lady of Assumption Parish in Arichat, and then at St. Joseph's Parish in Port Hawkesbury, and always loved seeing her back-row buddies! Visitation will held Friday February 20 at CH Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat from 3:00 to 9:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Our Lady of Assumption Church in Arichat on Saturday February 21 at 11AM with Rev. Doug MacDonald officiating. Reception to follow in Our Lady of Assumption Parish Hall, Arichat. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Assumption Parish Cemetery Fund in Arichat, or St. Joseph's Parish Cemetery Fund in Port Hawkesbury. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home Ltd in Arichat. To send words of comfort to the family or to light a candle in memory of Blanche, please visit www.chboudreau.com
