Condolences
Our thoughts & prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. I wished I could be there in person to give all of you big hugs.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. May all your Happy Memories help to ease your pain. Love Davie, Helen, David, Billy & Robert You can shed tears that he is gone, Or you can smile because he lived, You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back, Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left. Your heart can be empty because you can’t see him Or you can be full of the love that you shared, You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember him and only that he is gone Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on, You can cry and close your mind be empty and turn your back, Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
Sending condolences to all of you on your Dad's passing. I have lots of memories growing up in Sudbury and visiting Barrie/Toronto. I remember your Dad as a funny man but also a kind man with a smile. I'm sorry I didn't see him more around here but when I did He always said hello. Hoping your memories bring you comfort. Sending prayers and hugs.
My deepest sympathy to all of Quniten's family. it must be a very difficult time for you all. My thoughts and Prayers are with you all at this sad time. We have so many fond memories of Quinten - he was such a good friend to Arthur. I hope you will all take comfort in the memories you have of him. God bless you all. Love, Lorraine.
The man was ALWAYS pulling your leg...he always had me going...always a smile.
Words were never so well spoken as in the obiturary of Quentin being a Jokester/telling lies, although I always called it fibs.
We had the good fortune of knowing Quentin for many many years. We use to visit him & his family when he lived on Edenborough Court in Toronto, even though everyone called it, "Little Louisdale.
Quentin moved to Louisdale. Peter & I would come home for hollidays, I always saw Quentin around & we always had nice chats. Peter would always go visit Quentin. He would be gone for hours, then come back & tell me some of the things Quentin would say. I could not always verify if it was the truth or not, but knowing Quentin, he was pulling Peter's leg as Peter was gullable & believed everything Quentin told him.
Last year while on hollidays, we stayed at Muriel & Joe. Peter went to visit Quentin & returned to Muriels with him. Quentin started with the stories. I myself knew he was fibbing/lying most of the time, but Peter hung onto every word Quentin said. Quentin would try to make me believe what he said was true, but I knew better. I can hear him saying, "Varite de Dieu, tu me croix pas ma c'est vrais. (Honest to God, you don't believe me but it's true.) He had a smirk on his face which made you wonder if it was true, but never was. He would have his side kick, Joe. He too could tell a tale & always agreed with Quentin which made it more difficult to know what was true or not. We had many laughs with him to the point of tears.
Quentin had such a soft voice, I don't believe I ever heard him speak loudly. He was always laughing.
We will miss your jokes, fibs/lies, laughter, smirks, winks, but most of all your friendliness, your company on visits & your smile.
R.I.P. Dear Friend. Until we meet again, we are sure you will bring much laughter to those in heaven.
Love: Linda & Peter Samon, Brampton Ontario
