It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Joseph William " Willie" Burns - 85 of Louisdale, that occurred at the Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston on June 5, 2015 with his loving family by his side. Born in Louisdale, he was the son of the late William and Mary Barb (Marchand) Burns. Willie was a very proud lifetime member of the Iron Workers Union Local 752 and worked on various construction jobs over the years. He also worked at cutting pulp and loved the outdoors especially fishing. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Kathleen (Kay) Richards; children, Margaret (Bernie), Lloyd (Sharon)Barbara, (David), Patricia (Keith), Carl (Theresa) and Terry (Krystal); 14 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; brothers, Joe, twin brother Arthur (Helen); sisters, Eleanor Goyetche, and Irene Sampson; brother-in-laws Cecil Landry and Lloyd Richards. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Aimee Burns; brother Norman; sisters, May MacPhee, Celina Marchand, Delta Marchand, Verona Landry and a sister in infancy. Visitation will be held in the Glen Sampson Memorial Room in Louisdale on Sunday June 7th from 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held in St. Louis Catholic Church, Louisdale, Monday morning at 11:00 am Rev. Callistus Abazie officiating. Burial to follow in St. Louis Parish Cemetery, Louisdale. Reception will be held at St. Louis Parish Hall following the burial. Memorial donations can be made to the Aimee Burns Memorial Trust Fund or to the charity of choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to, C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home Ltd, Arichat.
