BOUDREAU, Rudolph Philip
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rudolph Phillip Boudreau 81of Petit de Grat which occurred at St. Martha's Hospital in Antigonish on October 25, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Petit de Grat he was the son of the late Cletus and Delima (Boudreau) Boudreau. Rudolph loved music and played in a band starting at the age of 14. A hobby he continued throughout his life. He was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 150 in Arichat and enjoyed spending time there and at the local coffee club socializing. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed sports, especially baseball. He was a long-time player, member and fan of his beloved Petit de Grat Red Caps Baseball Club. He worked at Booth's Fisheries, worked as a bus driver, owned and operated Boudreau's Esso and was the Manager of the Richmond County Housing Authority for many years. He was very community minded and volunteered on many Boards and Committees. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gwen (Power); his children Trudy (Clayton), Gilles (Yvonne), Shaun (Terri); grandchildren Melissa (Derek), Tara (Scott), Carly, Brandon, Callum, Sian, Lachlan; great grandchildren Levi and Brenna. He is also survived by his brother Claude (Mavis); sisters Celine Fougere and Lynette (Fred Nodding) Greene. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Laura Benoit. Rudolph was a friend to many and his presence will be dearly missed by all. A Heartfelt thank you to the nurses and doctors at St. Martha's Regional Hospital, ICU and 3rd Floor, Stroke Unit for their kindness and compassion. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 28,2015 from 2-9pm at C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 11am in Our Lady of Assumption Church in Arichat with Rev. Doug MacDonald officiating. Private family burial at a later date. Reception to follow mass in St. Josephs Parish Hall in Petit de Grat. Memorial donations can be made to Spiritual Care Family Suite in Care of St. Martha's Foundation or to the charity of one's choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to, C.H.
