Obituary of Mary Verona Hillier

HILLIER, Mary Verona "Nona" Louisdale, Rich. Co Passed away peacefully at the Strait Richmond Hospital, in Evanston on December 1, 2015, at the age of 81. She had her loving daughters Debra and Joy, her sister Elizabeth and her niece Tina, by her side. She also had Nancy Cameron and the Palliative care team, including the loving nurses from the Strait Richmond Hospital, taking care of her through it all. Nona was born September 18, 1934 in Louisdale, Richmond Co. She lost a yearlong battle to Cancer but she smiled and joked and was true to her witty, sharp personality, right to the very end. Verona will be sadly missed by her loving husband Jack and her doting Family, daughters Debra (Mark) Cooper, Havre Boucher, Joy (Vaughn) Resch, Fall River; sons Steve Hillier, Athabasca,(AB), Brad Hillier (Cheri), Fort McMurray (AB); grandchildren Nicholas, Uriah, Jennifer, Oakley, Todd, Dylan, Ben, Jake; great grandchildren, Chase, Coen, Izzie, Kane, Kingston, Logan, Lucas, Aila; brothers Deserie (Norma) Boudreau, Louisdale, Bob (Leta) Boudreau, Little Anse; sister Elizabeth (Don) Henri, Louisdale. She was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Tina Boudreau; brothers Raymond and Arthur Boudreau; sister's Cecilia Samson, Amelia Ferreti, and Lucy Jeffrey. She had a heart as big as the universe and the Lord gave her a very wicked sense of humour and she used it at every chance she could to make people feel good about themselves. She also she passed those qualities on to all 4 of her children, so she will never die. We are certain that there will be a lot more laughing in Heaven this Christmas. The family would like everyone to remember our mother with a smile and to celebrate her life. Visitation will take place December 6, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9pm in the Glen Sampson Room, Louisdale. A Celebration of Life will be held on December 7, 2015 at 11am in St. Louis Church, Louisdale with Rev. Callitus Abazie officiating. Burial to follow in St. Louis Parish Cemetery, Louisdale. Reception will follow the burial in St. Louis Parish Hall, Louisdale. Memorial donations can be made to the Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C.H.
