Obituary of Mary Ethel Bellefontaine

Janvrin's Island Mary Ethel Bellefontaine May 30, 1931- March 6, 2016 The death of Ethel Bellefontaine took place at St. Martha's Hospital where she spent the last few months. She is the daughter of the late Peter and Gladys Gaudet of Janvrin's Island. Predeceased by her brothers Bernard age 13 and Adolph Boudreau of Halifax. She is survived by her husband Donald of 57 years; brothers, Louis (Joyce) and Godfrey (Matilda) both of Janvrin's Island. She was not blessed with children of her own, but opened her home and heart to several children when they lived in Mount Uniacke. Once Donald retired they had a summer home in Janvrin's Island where they moved permanently in their later years. Ethel enjoyed camping, flea markets, family meals and gatherings, shopping for hours on end and nature, especially flowers, trees and feeding the birds. Thank You for making happy memories for her throughout the years. Plant a flower or visit someone you haven't seen in a while in her memory. Visitation will be held on Friday afternoon from 2-4 & 7-9pm in C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home Ltd., Arichat. Funeral Mass will take place Saturday morning at 11am in Our Lady of Assumption Church, Arichat with Rev. Doug MacDonald officiating. Burial at a later date in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, West Arichat. Reception to follow mass in Acadiaville Hall, West Arichat. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C. H. Boudreau Funeral Ltd.
