Dear Craig,Hilary & Extended Families, I was very fortunate to be a co-worker when Bev. was in St. Peter's.I know she truly loved you both because she would race to the phone when you were calling, Craig, and she had tears in her eyes when she said "it's my little girl's first day of school and I can't be there".Bev.was very family oriented, she would speak very loveingly of her excursions with her family members whether it be shopping, family get-to-gethers,or vacations. You could tell she loved being with you all. Bev. maybe gone but her "kindred spirit" will live in every heart she touched. Our sincere condolences to you all.

To Craig and Hillary, We wish to extend our sincere and deep heartfelt condolences to both of you and your family.
I got to know Beverly in 1994 when I was her Preceptor at the end of her Aberdeen School of Nursing training. She was such a good nurse and so enjoyable to work with when I heard the sad news yesterday of her death and was thinking about her, she was always smiling and laughing and so much fun to have worked with. It sounds as though she was very successful in her nursing, and life but was so prematurely taken from her and her family. I am so very sorry.
Craig, Hilary, Bowen and Benoit Family. Our hearts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time.
Please know that our thoughts and our prayers are with you all. Love Amanda and Chris Skinner

Please accept my deepest sympathy on your great loss. Beverly was truly a genuine person. I had the pleasure of working with Beverly with Continuing Care. We mainly worked by phone when she was a Care Coordinator and I an Intake worker. I missed her greatly when she took her new position. Then we did get the opportunity to carry on our phone friendship when she would call with new referrals for the patients at Strait Richmond. Beverly and her family are all in my prayers and thoughts. We all have a new guardian angel. Georgina Bonnar

It is hard to think of words to describe how sorry that we are. Bev was such a sweet person. Always loved to chat and laugh. Life is so unpredictable sometimes. I guess that as terrible as this is, we can think of it as a way to remind ourselves to cherish every minute of our lives. This whole situation is very familiar to me so I know how you are feeling, let me reassure you that although it never goes away, the sorrow gets easier with time. God will guide you! Love and prayers to you all Carla, Morgan and family

Please accept our sincerest and deepest sympathy in such a terrible loss. Words cannot express our sorrow. Bev was a wonderful work colleague and a friend. She could make you laugh and brighten your day just by a telephone call. She will be greatly missed by so many who loved and respected her. It has been said that a person's wealth can be measured by the number of friends you have and in Bev's case she is the wealthiest person I knew. God bless you all and give you the strength you need to get through this. I'm sure she is watching over us all.
I went to nursing school with Bev and found her to be a sweet and kind person and a very caring and sensible nurse. I was looking forward to meeting her next year for our 15 year reunion. My heart goes out to Craig and Hillary and their family. God bless you. Lori Harris

Dear Craig,Vernie and Catherine - you may not remember me, but I remember you all very well. I graduated nursing school with Bev and she was my best pal while we were there. We shared a lot of laughs, tears and drinks while we wondered if we really knew what we were getting into. I can tell from this book of condolances that Bev certainly knew what she was doing. Bev and I wrote our RN exams in Sydney together, what an adventure! Since school, we would talk on the phone about once a year, usually around Xmas. I was shocked to see her obituary. My deepest sympathy is with you all. I would appreciate if someone could please email and let me know what happened to one of the nicest people I have ever known. Craig, I hope you know how much Bev loved you, even way back in nursing school. Bev will give you strength to get through this, God Bless you all. - Shelly (Henwood) Fulton.
My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the Benoit and Bowen families on the loss of Bev. Anne Gosse Public Health Port Hawkesbury

Beverly was our nieghbour for a short time as she was growing up, just a little girl, across the street in Arichat. She was very quiet and very attractive and we saw her come and go and that was all. My first encounter with her as an adult and in her role as a nurse happened when Jack was released from being hospitalized with bacterial meningitis. This had already been very stressful for the two of us and now he was required to go back to the Strait Richmond Hospital morning and evening for intravenous antibiotics for, I believe, five weeks. When I discussed with Beverly the possibility of having a nurse visit our home as an alternative, she was very concerned and more than willing to help in any way that she could. In fact, however, the nursing staff was not available but we were in touch quite often and she was very understanding and helpful. In her role in palliative care she had the ability to quietly help, with compassion and generosity. Recently, when Nancy Cameron was away from work and there was the death of a patient, I had contact with Beverly in the process of helping the family. Each time she was involved she was quietly caring and helpful and very supportive to the families. Beverly was a shining example of what palliative care is all about and how to "be there" for staff, volunteers and the patients and families with whom we share the palliative care experience. Sincerely, Peggy Ouellette
My thoughts and prayers are with the Bowen and Benoit family at this sad time. I graduated high school with Beverly. She was a terrific person. To Craig and Hillary may god give you the strength to get through this tragic time in your life. Paula Samson-Dicks

To our nephew Craig & our Princess Hillary we are so devastated at your loss that words cannot express how we feel. It seems like just yesterday we saw you all dancing, singing and just having a good time. Life just changes and only "GOD" knows why. But with the strength, prayers and candles that are send on your behalf will you be able to carry on. We are with you all the way now and for the years to come. To the parents of Craig (my brother and sister in law Armand and Carolyn) and to Vernie and his wife (Bev's parents) we are praying for you to be strong. These are things we do not ever think will happen to our children but things do happen to ours and it is totally devastating. We always lose the best but we have to hope that it is for a good reason. Please keep this in mind. Everything happens for a reason. Bev was a good person and will leave a legend behind. Our Prayers are with you and Saturday will be a solemn day for us. Aunt Anne-Marie & Uncle Rick

Sending our most heartfelt sympathy and deepest condolences to each of you...may there be some comfort in knowing that many share in your sorrow...I have many memories growing up across the road on the courthouse hill,I can vividly remember that Rennie and Beverly would play together and that he couldn't say her name properly, for a time she was known to the rest of us as "Bebberly Bone". I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear the tragic news about Beverly. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. I have many fond memories of the early days on the "HILL" growing up, sharing in the rich friendships of childhood, where we all played for hours on end... May the love of your family and friends bring you comfort and strength to carry on in the days ahead. Beverly's gentle smile will always be remembered... God Bless!
I have been very disturbed and saddened by Bev’s untimely death. Please accept my deepest and heartfelt condolence at this most challenging time. She was a beautiful mother, and from what I hear, an inspiration to all nurses, patients and friends, with whom she came in contact. Although I was not close with Beverly, I feel that, as mothers, we all share a common love...the one that we eternally carry for our children and families. As a mother, I can only imagine having to leave my children behind, but from what I do remember of Craig, a strong and calm character, I pray that in this moment of loss those qualities will be of immense help to him, Hillary, the rest of the family and all those affected by her passing. No person is ever truly alone. Those who live no more, Whom we loved, Echo still within our thoughts, Our words, our hearts. And what they did And who they were Becomes a part of all that we are, Forever . Craig and Hillary, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this most difficult time of loss Donna Marchand Louisdale
