Obituary of Laurie Lynn Zinck
Please share a memory of Laurie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
We are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of Laurie Lynn (Landry) Zinck of River Bourgeois that occurred at her home on July 17 2016 at the age of 39 years. Born in Sydney, She was the daughter of Danny and Anne (Bona) Landry of River Bourgeois. The world was a happier place for Laurie having been here. The most joy Laurie found, came in making others smile and laugh, especially children and the elderly. Laurie was the proudest loving mother in the world. A graduate of St .F.X. nursing in 1999 and a wonderful nurse she was. Laurie would comfort you with her smile and make you laugh at her quirky Acadian French accent. She loved drinking coffee, laying in the sunshine and playing cards with Nanan and Roderick. The only thing bigger than her personality and smile was the size of her heart which had lots of room. Laurie and Paul were married in 2001, loved traveling to the Caribbean. Laurie leaves behind her loving husband Paul and their daughter Mila; sisters, Genny Ramsay (Jason), niece, Lydia, Halifax, Janice Pelly (Mike), nieces Abbie and Amelia, Milford, maternal grandmother, Theresa "Nanan" Landry, River Bourgeois; mother and father in law, Ron and Fern Zinck, Pictou; brother in law Dave and Claudia Zinck and their children, Cedric, Noah and Gail, Levis, Quebec. She is also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins and close friends. She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather Leo Landry; maternal grandparents, Fred C. and Sophie Beatrice (Evong) Bona. Visitation will be held in the River Bourgeois Community Funeral Home in River Bourgeois on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-9pm. Mass of Christian Farewell will be celebrated on Friday at 11am in St. John the Baptist Church in River Bourgeois with Rev. Antolin Asur officiating. Burial to follow in St. John the Baptist Parish Cemetery, River Bourgeois. A reception will be held following the committal in the Tara Lynn Community Centre in River Bourgeois.
