David, we are so very very sorry to hear that you lost your Dad. In the summers that we spent the month of August at a cottage in Arichat, we frequently visited your restaurant and bakery in Louisdale and one of the highlights for us was running into Bennie if he happened to be there. He was such a gentle sweet man! Please know that you, your Mom and all of your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

You were truly blessed to have an individual whose life impacted you and others around you. Benny certainly lived out his Christian call in service to all he came in contact with. Estelle, Terry, Lil, David, Viola, Narcisse, Clarence, Hortance& All of Bennie's extended family. We were very saddened to hear of Bennie's passing. Bennie was such a kind & generous soul. His voice was always so soft. We had the pleasure of seeing him every summer when we were home on holidays. Peter always enjoyed spending time with him having great chats. I & my family will never forget how good he was to our family & Peters family. His generosity to many people in Louisdale will never be forgotten. I don't believe there is anyone who could say that Bennie ever spoke harshly or was ever angry with anyone he knew. Bennie was a great pillar in the community. We know he had not been well for some time, but he handled his illness as well as he handled everything in life, with faith, hope, peace & love of his family who were his world. He was very proud of his family, & they took great care of him until his last breath. I'm sure he left a big peace of his heart in each & everyone of you. R.I.P. Bennie. Your legacy will live on. You will never be forgotten. Thoughts & prayers going out to all his family now & in the difficult days ahead. May you rest peacefully in Gods loving arms. Love: Peter & Linda Samson & Family. ❤️❤️

Aunt Estelle, Terry, David, and Lillian Anne: I was saddened to hear of Uncle Bennie’s death. He was a good man, a generous and devoted father, always eager to provide heartfelt advice that would help me. What I will remember most about Uncle Bennie is that he was happiest when he was working, whether it be cutting wood at his house, helping David at the bakery or helping to set-up Terry at Papa’s Point. I can recall when working with him at Landry Brothers; he would never sit down to take a lunch break, eating his sandwich while walking around calculating what he could be doing next. I can’t help but think about the void that will be there next time I visit in Louisdale, but there is some comfort in knowing he is free from pain. Gerard and Cathy in Yellowknife
