Obituary of Mary Claire Forgeron

FORGERON, Mary Claire, 89 - Martinique Claire died peacefully on June 23, 2017 at the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax surrounded by her loving children. Born on November 3, 1927 in Arichat, NS, she was the daughter of the late Casimir and Clara (Richard) LeBlanc. Claire was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Marie (Eddie) Sampson, Martinique, Joan (Fernand) Boivin, Pictou, Ann (Wayne) McNamara, Evanston; sons Edward (Verona), Martinique, Clifford (Audrey), Whiteside, Donald (Linda), Martinique, Gary (Lora), Fort McMurray, AB, Paul (Charmaine), Arichat; 20 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Claire was awaiting the birth of her 21st granddaughter, Ruby. Claire was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Howard Stanley; 3 grandchildren Byron, Lisa, Christina; 8 sisters Lida, Georgina, Margaret, Eileen, Eliza, Mary, Delina, Clara; 4 brothers Simon, Charlie, (Joseph and Murdock in infancy). Visitation will be held in C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat on Sunday, July 2, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Notre Dame-De-L'Assomption in Arichat Monday morning at 10am. Burial to follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, West Arichat. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the IWK Children's Wish Foundation. We the family of the late Claire would like to thank Dr. Timothy Brown and his colleagues, the nurses and social workers, on the third floor who were involved in our Mom's care.
