Obituary of Melissa Dawn Marshall

Marshall, Mellissa Dawn "Mell", 30 - Potlotek. It is with great sadness that we the family of Mellissa, have to announce her passing along with her precious Angel, Dre Burt Marshall on June 19, 2009 in Potlotek. She was the daughter of Charles Mickey and the late Barbra Jean ( Sylliboy) Googoo. She is survived by husband Christian Joseph Marshall, Chapel Island; daughters, Kiersten, Wastow; sons, Tanieta, Gerald, Christian; all of We'koqma'; brothers, Burt Sylliboy,Troy Lane, Joseph Greene all of Indian Brook; sisters, Brenda & Jolene Googoo, We'koqma', Shawnee LaPorte, Membertou; paternal grandmother and many aunts and cousins; mother and father in law Joseph Bowers and Valerie Marshall-Bowers, brother in laws, Zackary and Morgan Bowers all of Halifax. sister in law Megan Marshall Bowers, Potlotek; maternal aunts Brenda, Fran, Loretta Sylliboy, all of Halifax, Viola Sylliboy, Truro, aunt and godmother Joanne Sylliboy, Dartmouth;cousins, Stephanie, Sylvia, Candice, Courtney, Cherie, Matthew, Carl, Ivan and Robert She will be missed by all who knew her. She was predeceased by her brother Vaughan Sylliboy; aunts Wanda and Sylvia Sylliboy. Visitation will be held at the home of Valerian (Smokey) Marshall at 12134 Highway 4, Potlotek (Chapel Island) after 2:00 p.m. today until Thursday morning at 10:30. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Barra Head, with Rev. Barrett Clare Johnson, officiating. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Barra Head. Scent free visitation, due to severe allergies No fresh flowers please. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to C.H.
