Obituary of Joseph Wilfred Duann

Duann, Joseph Wilfred, 95, of Arichat formerly of Petit De Grat, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2009 with his loving family and friends by his side. Born in Petit De Grat, he was a son of the late William and Mary Virginia (Samson) Duann. Wilfred was beloved by his family and his community. He was a former teacher employed by the Richmond District School Board, and worked in the office at Booth Fisheries for 19 years up until his retirement. He loved a good game of cards. He will be sadly missed by his daughters, Mona Bouchard (Conrad), Toronto, Ont., Delores Gordon (Dave), Mississauqua, Ont., Theresa, wife of the late Roy Boudreau, Petit De Grat; grandchildren, Pamela, Cheryl, Robin, David, Michael, Darin, Paulette, Julie, Holly and Kelsey; great-grandchildren, Nicole, Matthew, Chantal, Christopher, Kyle, Cory, Taylor, Jonathan, Joshua, Lauren, Michelle, Erik; step great grandchildren, Tyler, Vikki and Tanner. He was predeceased by his wife, Christine (Samson) Duann; brothers, Ralph, Francis, Gilbert and Arthur; sister, Violet. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 7th in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat from 2-4 & 7-9pm and on Tuesday afternoon from 2 - 3 pm. Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate the life of Wilfred will be held Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 at St. Joseph's Church in Petit De Grat, with Rev. Angus MacDougall officiating. Burial will follow in the Star of the Sea Cemetery, Petit De Grat. Memorial donations can be made to St. Anne Community & Nursing Care Centre or to the Kidney Foundation Canada, Nova Scotia Branch.
