Obituary of Joseph Marchand

Marchand, Joseph E. 96, Pondville South, passed away January 7, 2006, at his home in Pondville South. Born in Pondville, he was the son of Desire and Mary Jane (Boudreau) Marchand.
He is the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He is survived by his daughters, Odille Campbell (Bill), Lena Bonin (Alex), Jeannette Landry (Joe), all of Pondville South, Marquerite Vig (Amrit), Cole Harbour, Madeline Marchand, and Mary Jane Armstrong (John), both of Ottawa; sons, Alfred (Bernadette), Clement, Andre (Lorraine), all of Pondville South, Alexandre, Chester; nineteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Elizabeth Martha (Samson); sisters, Alvina, Josie, Mary, Evangeline, Emma, Laura, and two in infancy; brothers, Thomas, Alex, Leonie, Henry, Willard, and one in infancy.
Visitation will take place today from 2-4 & 7-9pm in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2006, at 2 p.m., in Our Lady of Assumption Church in Arichat with Rev. Bruno Ruel officiating.
Burial to follow in Our Lady of Assumption Parish Cemetery, in Arichat.
No flowers please by request of the family.
Memorial Donations can be made to Our Lady of Assumption Parish Cemetery Fund or to the Isle Madame Food Bank.
